‘The Juice Is Loose’: Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice Brings On The Spice With ‘Hot Ones’ Parody

Beetlejuice guzzles “the juice is loose” hot sauce in a new Warner Bros. promo of the upcoming Beetlejuice Beetlejuice , which parodies popular talk show Hot Ones . In the satire clip, he flippantly answers Michael Keaton ‘s questions, leading the actor to walk off the set.

“How long is this gonna take? I gotta get to the spa,” Betelgeuse says in the video, dubbed “Not Ones” in this remake of the Sean Evans-hosted series.

As Keaton attempts to ask the mischievous ghoul a set of questions in the serious cadence reminiscent of Evans’ interview approach, the pinstripe suit-wearing demon drizzles his ribs with sauces featuring labels of the upcoming film’s characters plastered on them, including Jenna Ortega and Winona Ryder . Eagle-eyed viewers will also notice the Scoville scale replaced with a more apt “Skullville” meter.

“Napoleon was a pal. [Justin] Bieber, of course, for obvious reasons,” Beetlejuice answers when asked who inspires him, nonchalantly tossing wings to-and-fro as he smacks his lips. “Caligula was a wild man, gotta say that.”

Proceeding but increasingly frustrated, Keaton levies a big one at Beetlejuice, asking, “You’ve been haunting this metaphysical astral plane for over 600 years. You ever allowed yourself to contemplate the infinite nature of time?”

“Nope!” Beetlejuice retorts glibly. Well, at least his ribs are “eerily reminiscent of a guy I ate in Seattle.”

The last straw for Keaton comes after Beetlejuice farts fire and asks rudely, “Who the hell are you?” While the Oscar nominee gives up engaging with his less-than-pleasant interview subject and walks away, the demonic ghost remains unbothered, chugging his hot sauce.

The follow-up to the 1988 Tim Burton classic will come to theaters Sept. 6. In the sequel, Lydia (Ryder), still haunted by Beetlejuice (Keaton), finds her life tossed into chaos when her rebellious teen daughter Astrid (Ortega) uncovers a portal to the afterlife.
