‘UAP’: Joel Courtney, Celeste O’Connor, Charlie Evans, Josh Macqueen & Amelie Zilber Set For Sci-Fi Thriller Shooting In Spain

EXCLUSIVE : Joel Courtney ( Kissing Booth ), Celeste O’Connor ( Ghostbusters: Afterlife ), Charlie Evans ( Leave The World Behind ), Josh Macqueen ( Surviving Summer ) and Amelie Zilber ( Grown-ish ) are set to star in sci-fi thriller UAP , which is due to begin filming in Spain on November 11.

UAP follows a group of childhood friends celebrating their reunion during the 4 ^th of July weekend at an idyllic vacation house when an Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, or UAP, crash-lands nearby.

First-time feature filmmaker Mason Howard is directing from a script he wrote. Randy Wayne and Talia Bella are producing under their Rebellium Films ( Wild Indian ) banner. Also producing are Bull’s Eye Entertainment ( Crash ) and Spanish firm Al Fin De Todo AIE.

Producer Tom Nunan said: “Every generation has its Alien , its E.T ., its Ex Machina . My hope and aim is to help Mason make UAP into a culture-shifting, super-thrilling, and momentous milestone of a movie, that handsomely shows off his amazing idea, and his equally compelling filmmaking voice.”

In a joint statement, Wayne and Bella added: “We were drawn to this project because of its enticing story and resonant characters, and we are eager to bring it to fruition in the beautiful Basque region.”

Spanish outfit Al Fin de Todo AIE told us: “Eduardo Carneros, Juan Solá and Mark Albela are excited to be joining the production of UAP as executive producers with their Alava company Al Fin de Todo AIE. We are very proud and thankful to director and producers, Mason, Tom, Talia and Randy who have entrusted us with the production of the film. The Spain portion will take place in Alava and Bizcaia with a 100% Spanish crew.”

The film was cast by Liz Ludwitzke and Jordana Sapiurka in the U.S. and Pilar Moya in Spain.
