Bay Head Summer Camp in full swing
BAY HEAD — While school may be out, laughs and cheers can still be heard over at Bay Head School, due to the Bay Head Summer Camp launching in full swing. Having started on July 1, the camp has open enrollment until it ends on Aug. 8. Camp takes place every Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.

Roselle hires new football coach for upcoming season
ROSELLE, NJ — Another Union County school will have a new head football coach for the upcoming 2024 season. While Union and Westfield promoted from within, with Jason Scott named the interim head coach at Union High School and Matt Andzel the head coach at Westfield High School, Abraham Clark High School in Roselle decided to go a different direction once Ibrahim Halsey left to become the head coach at South Brunswick High School.

Bayonne Firefighters Rescue Workers from Vacant Home
BAYONNE, NJ - Three workers were rescued from inside a vacant home last week, Bayonne Fire Chief Keith Weaver reported. Firefighters faced heavy smoke coming from the attic area of a one and half story home at 5 Pavonia Court when they arrived there at 4:57 p.m. on Thursday after reports of a structure fire. Child Dies After Being Pulled Unresponsive from Swimming Pool
Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a 7-year-old boy who was pulled unresponsive from a swimming pool in Bay Shore yesterday. Third Precinct officers responded to the residence located at 1627 N. Thompson Drive after a 911 caller reported that a boy was pulled from a swimming pool at approximately 8:25 p.m. The victim, Kyrie Berry, of Brooklyn, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.
