Earth Day Visit with the Nesting Ospreys at Lake Allatoona
Frequently confused with bald eagles because of their white heads and large wingspans, osprey pairs often mate for life, and return to the same nesting locations each year. We made an Earth Day visit to our favorite nesting pair on Lake Allatoona, Georgia, to check in on the spring mating and hatching process. We found Oprah and Orion reinforcing their nest and sitting patiently with their eggs.
