We Discovered Blueberry Heaven in Western Michigan And Picked Fresh Berries Directly from the Bushes
While exploring the scenic shoreline cities on Lake Michigan, we discovered Western Michigan's blueberry heaven. With stops at several local farms, we devoured the freshest berries directly from the farms. Among our stops was Palmer's Blueberry Farms, a U-pick family farm for five generations. And we shopped at the more commercialized DeGrandchamp Farms, which featured a store offering a plethora of farm-made blueberry products like preserves, jellies, syrups and much more. While we arrived too early for the National Blueberry Festival in nearby South Haven, we enjoyed the relative quiet and peace of exploring the local farms without huge festival crowds
