Big Blue Boo 4: Free Softball Showdown Between Kentucky and Tennessee
The Kentucky Softball team has announced the date and details for the 2024 Big Blue Boo, scheduled for October 20 at John Cropp Stadium. Admission is free, with gates opening at 3:30 p.m. ET ahead of the 5 p.m. game against Tennessee. Special early entry for season ticket holders begins at 3 p.m. ET. This matchup is part of a home-and-home series, following an earlier game on October 5 in Tennessee. The event will be televised on SEC Network+ for fans outside Lexington.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was shot and killed outside a local roller rink Sunday night, according to Louisville police. LMPD spokesperson Matt Sanders said police received multiple calls for a shooting outside Robben's Roost, a roller rink on Six Mile Lane in the Buechel neighborhood, right at midnight.

A late-summer staple in Elizabethtown will return next weekend. “The Heartland Homecoming Parade is Saturday, August 24,” said Elizabethtown Events Manager Beth Pyles. “Step off is at 10 a.m. This will be the 41st event for the Heartland Homecoming Parade. We step off on the square and travel north on Dixie Highway, ending at St. John Road.”
