    Inmate recaptured after leaving work site in Decatur

    DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — An Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) inmate was recaptured after leaving his work site in Decatur on Saturday evening.

    According to the Alabama Department of Corrections officials, 45-year-old Robin Glenn Fike left an assigned job location in Decatur on Saturday around 5:45 p.m.

    Jail records show that Fike is serving a 20-year sentence for a manslaughter charge in Colbert County. Fike was sentenced in December of 2016.

    ADOC officials tell News 19 that Fike was recaptured on Sunday along Highway 24 in Moulton, Alabama.

    The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, ADOC K-9 Unit, and ADOC LESD also assisted during the recapture.
