    NWSCC hosts ‘Party with the Patriots’ featuring Winston Ramble

    MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Northwest-Shoals Community College (NWSCC) will host ‘Party with the Patriots’ as part of the W.C. Handy Music Festival.

    On Thursday, July 25 from 6-8 p.m., the southern rock band Winston Ramble will perform in the Shoals.

    The band originated in Winston County and now they perform all across the southeast entertaining their audiences with their self-proclaimed, “Alabama style, southern-fried rock n’ roll.”

    The event will be held in front of the fountain on the NWSCC campus. The event is free and open to all.

    The party will include live music, inflatables, food trucks, corn hole, face painting and lots of other activities for kids to enjoy. Attendees are encouraged to bring outdoor folding chairs to sit back and enjoy the music.

    ‘Party with the Patriots’ is part of the W.C. Handy Music Festival. This festival honors Florence native, William Christopher Handy . He is known as the “Father of the Blues.”

    Small businesses reaping benefits of tax-free weekend

    Alison Stanfield is one of the festival coordinators. She said that the festival has a large number of events throughout the city.

    “We have close to 200 events taking place and the events are everywhere, they’re in the parks, libraries, restaurants, shops and boutiques, pretty much anywhere you’ll find people playing music.”
