Texas A&M commit Landon Rink ranked as the top defensive tackle prospect in Texas
Not all recruiting rankings are the same, and that’s good. No matter what many of us see with our own eyes when watching high school prospects, 247sports, Rivals, and On3 have their own opinions when ranking each prospect at every position. In the 2025 recruiting class, the defensive line cycle is borderline elite, in my humble opinion. The prospect that constantly sticks out is a 4-star defensive lineman and Texas A&M commit, Landon Rink, who is heading into his senior season at Cy-Fair HS in Cypress (TX). Within 247Sports’ 2025 DL rankings, Rink is currently the 30th-ranked defensive line prospect in the...
Texas Police Department Missing Thousands of Items, Including Guns and Drugs
If most people take something from work and decide to keep it, it's usually something like a pen or office paper, maybe some post-it notes. Stealing from within a police department? That's a different category of work theft. According to CBS News in Dallas, DeSoto Police have discovered they have...

Popcorn Players ride off into the sunset
AZLE — Over the weekend, the Azle Arts Association’s Popcorn Players wrapped up its yearly melodrama to a cacophony of yuks and yee-haws. “How the West Was Dun or Left High and Dry in Low Humidity Chasm” spoofed classic Hollywood Westerns with generous helpings of humor and popcorn to boot. Audience members were encouraged to interact with the cast by throwing bags of recycled popcorn at the play’s villains when they exited and entered the stage. Theater staff reported having a full house for all six performances, often selling out of tickets days in advance. Scott Nurmela directed the show and kept audiences well-stocked in popcorn munitions for three hours of histrionics. This stampede of silliness was composed of heroes and villains of all ages, from ranahans to greenhorns.
