Who Is Jonathon Johnson On ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 21?

Sam McKinney may have won Jenn Tran’s first impression rose during The Bachelorette Season 21 premiere , but Bachelor Nation knows the true first impression winner was Jonathon Johnson.

If you recall, the 27-year-old creative director rolled up to meet Jenn on a stretcher wearing a hospital gown (with his bare cheeks out) and a face wrap. Why? Because he was “lovesick,” of course. He kept the facial dressings on for the majority of the night, but before the rose ceremony Jenn peeled back his layers and thankfully revealed a sweet smile.

According to his official Bachelorette bio, the 27-year-old creative director from Los Angeles, California is “really something special.”

“With his gorgeous smile, his entrepreneurial spirit, and a loyal heart, he has it all. Jonathon is just missing his partner by his side and is ready to meet the woman of his dreams. He’s a self-proclaimed romantic who says, ‘I treat every girl the same way I would want to see my mother and sister treated,'” the bio reads. “Jonathon is well traveled, spontaneous and excited about the possibility of traveling the world with Jenn. When the creative director isn’t working, he loves listening to Post Malone, checking out local escape rooms, and playing lacrosse with his friends. Jonathon is here to find his perfect match and hopefully return home with Jenn by his side.”

After Jonathon nailed his first impression, he and Jenn went on to bond over a variety of things, including their “glow-ups” and the fact that they both played lacrosse in college. Though Jonathon went the first four episodes without a one-on-one date (it looks like that will change in Episode 5), he consistently stood out in group dates — like the time he won the Mr. Love Down Under title for impressing as “Jonny Fire Cheeks.” So how long can we expect Jonathon to be on the show?

According to a May 31 Instagram post , Jonathon doesn’t make it to Jenn’s Top 2 and isn’t the predicted winner this season. As for how long he could stick around, however, Reality Steve thinks he gets a Hometown Date (reportedly filmed May 2nd in Los Angeles) and even makes it to Overnight Dates in Hawaii before getting eliminated that rose ceremony.
