Contrary to popular belief, Caroline Stanbury wants everyone to know that she is not the cause of tension among her Real Housewives of Dubai castmates.

Not only did Stanbury find herself in the middle of Caroline Brooks and Taleen Marie ‘s feud earlier in the season, but she also sparked the fight between Chanel Ayan and Lesa Milan over voice-note gate during the cast trip to Bali.

For those who are still catching up, Sara Al Madani sent a voice message to Milan saying she’s not the biggest fan of Marie. Milan, who was mistakenly under the assumption that Al Madani was talking about Brooks, privately sent the message to Ayan for clarification. But Ayan turned around and shared it with Stanbury, who then stirred the pot by bringing it up to everyone at dinner.

Looking back, Stanbury admitted to DECIDER that she shouldn’t have thrown “the bomb” as it “slightly backfired” on her when she realized not only that Al Madani was talking about Marie, but that Milan had been the one who sent it to Ayan in the first place.

Still, she insisted that she had nothing to do with the reason why Ayan and Milan are not on speaking terms currently.

“Their relationship, it’s not to do with me,” she said. “It looks like it’s to do with me. I’m sure I had some part of it somewhere. But like, I am not the thing that broke that relationship.”

With the two women making up after the voice note drama, Stanbury revealed that fans will have a better understanding as to what went down to end their once-close friendship in the Season 2 finale.

“I think you’ll really see what’s happened and why it happened, especially between Lesa and Chanel,” Stanbury said. “Again, that it’s not down to me. I think this whole season so far it looks like I’ve broken everyone up, just because they want to be friends with me, which is just not true.”

Ayan, for her part, told DECIDER that she was willing to reconcile with Milan depending on how the Season 2 reunion would go.

“We had a real friendship. We had a real, good friendship. It wasn’t for the show,” she said. “We actually cared about each other … It’s hard. So I’m definitely open to resolutions.”

The Real Housewives of Dubai airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock .
