Former ‘Bachelorette’ Rachel Lindsay Claims Teresa Giudice “Mistook” Her For Rihanna: “Like Actually Screamed When She Saw Me”

Former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay recently revealed the “fun” inside joke she shares with Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice after they ran into each other at BravoCon in 2022.

“Teresa thought I was Rihanna ,” Lindsay revealed during a recent episode of The Ringer Reality TV Podcast . “Like actually screamed when she saw me.”

But it looks like there’s no hard feelings, as Giudice appeared “very genuine” when she made the mix-up. Lindsay added, “She mistook me for another Black person. And I still liked her.”

“It was behind the stage at BravoCon two years ago,” Lindsay recalled. “She thought Rihanna was hosting the panel that she was on. And I was like, ‘No.’ But she knew I looked familiar because I had interviewed her with Extra . And in her mind, it was like, ‘Oh, this must be Rihanna.’”

At the time, Giudice claimed the pop star had been “DMing” her.

“I’m like, ‘But I’m not Rihanna.’ So now it’s a running joke when we see each other,” Lindsay said. “I’m like, ‘Remember!’ She’s like, ‘Rihanna!’ We turn it into something fun.”

Giudice certainly shares a bond with Rihanna. Before she gave birth to her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky, the singer revealed that she admired Giudice’s parenting habits.

“Teresa from Jersey does not play about her kids,” Rihanna said. “She will flatten you about those kids. And that resonates with me a lot because I feel like that’s the type of mom I’m going to be. Psycho about it.”

She joked that she thought she was going to be “worse” than Giudice. “You talk about my kids, it’s over,” she said.

For now, Giudice’s future at Bravo remains up in the air as RHONJ recently ended without a reunion for the very first time in the show’s history.

Bravo boss Andy Cohen has hinted that they may recast the show and get “all fresh faces” as the cast has essentially entered a stalemate with no hope of solving their never-ending drama.

“The problem is there’s kind of no moving forward. They are all in their own box,” Cohen said. “There needs to be forward momentum for these shows to be able — you have to be able to regenerate.”
