Kelly Ripa cheekily exposed a celebrity friend of she shares with Mark Consuelos on Live with Kelly and Mark this morning.

While dishing on the “grinding debate” over what you should and should not throw into your garbage disposal, Consuelos recalled an instance when a “friend” of theirs came over for dinner.

Ripa chimed in, “We’re not going to name him, but his name is Anderson Cooper .”

Consuelos continued, “I remember this dinner, and we had Chinese. And we weren’t going to eat a certain dish… Leftovers. I’m like, ‘You take it.’ ‘No, you take it.'”

The daytime co-hosts explained that he “dump[ed] the whole thing,” “shoved it in” and “start[ed] pushing” the garbage disposal.

“I’m like, ‘What are you doing?'” Consuelos added. “He goes, ‘That’s what this is for.’ No, it’s not.”

After Ripa asked what the garbage disposal is for, Consuelos and Live EP Michael Gelman clarified that the mechanism is for “scraps” and “little things that happen that kind of go in there,” as he highlighted that “there are a lot of things you shouldn’t put down” there.

Ripa quipped, “If you can’t shove the rest of the mei fun down there, then I don’t know what it’s for!”

After he teased “no noodles,” Consuelos shared that “just over half of the U.S. homes have garbage disposals.”

“The InSinkErator. That’s what we have,” he added. “We have these nice little things now. They go inside your sink. It’s like a little dish. Like a little strainer.”

However, Ripa was quick to point out “that’s not a new thing.” While Consuelos said he “thought it was new,” Ripa insisted that “it’s not new, and they’ve been there for 20 years.”

Consuelos shared, “Well, I like them, because they catch all the little pieces of lettuce, and so that doesn’t go down, and you just tap it into the trash and put it back.”

Ripa fired back, “Yes, if you were to do that, that would be great, but I am the only person. It’s like the rotten fruit. I am the only person who throws away rotten fruit, and I am the only person who cleans out your little catcher.”

Consuelos joked, “Aww… I like how you do it.”
