‘Live’: Mark Consuelos Cheekily Reminds Petite Kelly Ripa That She’s “Still 5’4” After She Claims His One Habit Makes Her “Grow A Little Taller”

Mark Consuelos hit Kelly Ripa good with a one-liner that was short and sassy on Live with Kelly and Mark on Thursday.

“So you wanna hear about the bedtime that’s ruining our relationship and it’s not sex?” Ripa teased. “It’s called ‘parallel scrolling’. It’s when we are side by side in the bed, scrolling parallel.”

Consuelos teased, “Yeah, I believe that’s how I got a little tendon issue in my arm.”

However, Ripa suggested that her husband and co-host’s “impatience” caused his injury, because he “had to rush to grab [her] suitcase out of [her] hand.”

“Well, I wanted to lift it for you,” Consuelos insisted, prompting Ripa to add, “Onto the weight thing?”

Eventually, Ripa explained the drawbacks to “parallel scrolling,” sharing that “you’re basically decreasing the chances of intimacy and affection and generally engaging with your partner.” She then offered up a personal pro of “parallel scrolling” alongside Consuelos.

“I like when we side-by-side scroll, because what it proves to me is what you often accuse me of, which is when you click on something and the volume is at full blast, and you don’t turn it down,” she highlighted. “That is what you accuse me of, so every time you do that, I grow a little taller.”

Consuelos cheekily fired back, “You’re still 5’4″, sweetie.”

“I would love to have that commercial where the two couples disagree what happened,” he added, leading Ripa to add, “Oh, they throw the flag on the play?”

Consuelos continued, “They throw the flag and they go to the tape. I would love that.”

Ripa taunted, “I would love that more than you!”
