Kimber Lynn Eastwood has had a wheely good gig for quite some time. The professional makeup artist, who is one of Clint Eastwood ‘s eight children, spoke with Fox News Digital about how she ended up working as a makeup artist for Wheel of Fortune , which she began doing in 2005.

She told the outlet that she had “studied acting for years and years and years,” and at the time “was a single mom,” and thus was waitressing at night and auditioning during the day while raising her son.

“I was working at Marmalade Cafe in Westlake, and I waited on my [current] boss,” she recalled. “I told him I was in makeup school, and I had been an actress and who I was and my dad and all that. And, so, he said, ‘Why don’t you come down to Wheel and just check it out and just see what we do down there?’ And I did.”

Kimber noted that “about a year later,” she received a call about a position in the contestant department. She gushed about doing makeup for the contestants, whom she described as “appreciative and just so happy to be there” and”excited.”

“And the energy is just really, just really fun,” she shared. “I try to talk with them and try to calm them down and reassure them. They’re there for about a good five solid hours before they go on stage. So, we just try to make them as comfortable as possible, reassure them that they’re going to look beautiful on stage.”

As for working with Vanna White and her former co-host Pat Sajak , Kimber deemed them “the kindest and most humble people that you could ever wish to work for.” She also praised newcomer Ryan Seacrest , whom she said “stepped into the role like he’d been doing it 100 years.”

“I mean, he is so professional. I mean, we’re used to seeing Pat for 40 years, but Ryan’s great, too,” she said. “I like them both equally, and I think they’re both very talented, on the sly, witty, sharp men.”

Calling Seacrest “the best pick for the job,” Kimber said that she “couldn’t think of a better person to take over for Pat.”

Seacrest officially spun into his post on Monday night’s (Sept. 9) Season 42 premiere, earning mixed reactions from fans online. However, White assured fans ahead of the new season in a CBS Sunday Morning interview that Seacrest is “doing a great job.”

Kimber said her connections to Wheel of Fortune precede her securing her job on the show.

“My grandmother was very traditional from Scranton, Pennsylvania,” she explained to Fox News Digital. “We watched Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! every night together with my mom and my aunts.”

Wheel of Fortune airs on weeknights. Check out the show’s website for your local listings.
