Jenna Bush Hager Tells ‘Today’ She Lost A Diamond From Her Engagement Ring At Savannah Guthrie’s 50th Birthday — And Got A “Grumpy” Reaction From Her Husband

No one knows how to party like the Today crew.

During Monday’s broadcast of the show, Jenna Bush Hager shared a story from Savannah Guthrie ‘s 50th birthday party that surprised even Hoda Kotb .

“Did you ever hear the story about Savannah’s 50th birthday?” Bush Hager asked Kotb. “I woke up the next morning and one of the stones out of my engagement ring had fallen out.”

Kotb laughed as she asked, “You have no recollection?”

“I’m not exactly sure of where it went. I also had this panic [of], do I tell Henry now after I wake up or do I tell him after he’s had some food?” Bush Hager replied, referring to her husband. “I just said, ‘You gotta tell him right away,’ and he was a little grumpy but [it was] never found! Never found!”

She continued, “But anyway, had someone said in your 20s, ‘Fiftieth birthday parties are gonna be so fun,’ I might’ve not believed them.”

Kotb, who recently celebrated her 60th birthday with a huge celebration in the Today plaza, replied, “Let me tell you everything just gets better.”

Kotb later shared her own hilarious story about Guthrie, who paid a last-minute visit to her new home in the suburbs this past weekend.

After she explained to Bush Hager how she and her daughters scrambled to get the house ready for Guthrie and her family, Bush Hager couldn’t help but tease her co-host.

“Maybe we should do a bet around here but how long do you all think Hoda had them stay?” she asked the Today camera crew. She then instructed: “If you think over 30 minutes, raise your hand. If you think under 30, raise your hand.”

Kotb laughed as she admitted, “I have to say Savannah understands and she was like, ‘We’re coming and going.'”

“So 30 or less? I mean I was there for about three minutes so 30 is like she might as well have spent the weekend,” Bush Hager joked.
