Indiana United Ways in cooperation with United Way of Knox County has awarded the Vincennes YMCA a nearly 322-thousand-dollar capital project matching grant to update 7,200 square feet of childcare space. The grant will also be used to create a high quality, licensed early education center serving families in Vincennes.
Report finds former Oolitic town clerk didn't deposit nearly $80k in utility payments
Former Lawrence County Auditor Jessica Staggs didn't deposit nearly $80,000 in utility payments when she was the city clerk in Oolitic, according to the Indiana State Board of Accounts. Staggs left her job in Oolitic after being elected auditor in 2021, but resigned from the position without explanation in December 2023.
