Man taken to hospital after shooting in downtown Louisville, police say
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting being shot near downtown Louisville on Sunday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police. LMPD spokesperson John Bradley said a man arrived at University of Louisville Hospital by private means with a non-fatal gunshot wound around 1:35 a.m.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - WKU Football dropped its season opener against No. 5 Alabama 63-0 on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Hilltoppers (0-1) were hurt by two early turnovers that the Crimson Tide (1-0) turned into touchdowns, before Alabama added a quick strike to take a 21-0 lead into the second quarter. Alabama doubled its lead to 42-0 by halftime and added 14 points in the third quarter and a touchdown in the fourth to close out the 63-0 decision.

Kentucky murder suspect in custody after tense standoff in Mississippi
U.S. Marshals apprehended a man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Kentucky after a tense standoff in Coffeeville on Saturday. Authorities reported that 34-year-old Desmond Shaw was taken into custody after barricading himself inside a home on Wayne Drive for about an hour. Law enforcement surrounded the residence, and Shaw eventually surrendered without incident.
