Few & Far to Bring Dedham Locals Closer Than Ever

Nestled in the vibrant town of Dedham, Massachusetts , a new restaurant is swiftly taking shape. Slated for an April 24, 2024 grand opening, Few & Far will soon take over the former home of Isabella at 566 High St .

Led by Chef Eric Cooper and restaurateur-sommelier Stan Hilbert —the same dynamic duo behind Cambridge’s renowned Forage—Few & Far will embrace a farm-to-table philosophy, dedicated to serving locally sourced, seasonal cuisine. With an emphasis on regional ingredients, almost the entire menu—roughly 99%—will be sourced from New England, save for non-local essentials like citrus, sugar, and cooking oils.

Beyond their shared love for intimate neighborhood restaurants and culinary excellence, Hilbert and Cooper are driven by a genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to ethical business practices, which ultimately led them to launch Forage in the spring of 2016.

Now, nearly eight years later, the pair is putting the finishing touches on their second restaurant together. Channeling Forage’s holistic hospitality ethos, the new establishment will offer down-to-earth, ingredient-based dishes that evoke a sense of warmth and connection.

And, like Forage, Few & Far is so much more than just your average eatery. When asked about the ambiance of the space, Hilbert told What Now Boston that the new locale will be casual and inviting. “It’s about more than just the food, honestly,” he said. “The food’s great, but… we just want to bring it back to the basics—kind, empathetic, and genuine hospitality in a great space that looks awesome and feels good.”

Designed to accommodate up to 75 guests, the dining area will radiate relaxation, setting the stage for memorable moments over exceptional food and drink.

While Cooper will oversee the kitchens at both Forage and Few & Far, Hilbert, a Dedham resident, will divide his time between the two restaurants. Additionally, he’ll manage his recently opened wine shop, Satellite Bottle Shop, conveniently located next door to the upcoming eatery.
