STRUTHERS OH- In a showdown at Bob Cene Park, the Astro Falcons flew past the Diamond Boys 6-2 to snag the NABF 16U title. Taco Verroco was on fire, blasting a double and a home run, driving in three runs, and scoring once. Gavin Hiscox chipped in with two hits and an RBI, while Brysan Zirwas added two hits, including a double, and scored a run. Logan Patellis also had a solid day at the plate with two hits and two runs.

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (WJW) – A sold out concert and construction project made for a slower ride home for thousands of concertgoers Monday night. The Red Hot Chili Peppers took the stage at Blossom Music Center before a sold out crowd. People arrived early to get a good parking spot, which on this night meant back by the exit gate.
Hot Stove tournament brings heat in Alliance
Four Alliance-area teams played Saturday in the semifinal games of the Ohio Hot Stove Baseball League at Butler Rodman Park in the Carnation City. Rick Black Photography, which competed in the E League for ages 17 and 18, was the only team to advance to Sunday's competition, which included the state title games. Rick Black Photography defeated Alliance American Legion 166, 14-7, to earn its spot in Sunday's games. Other teams that competed were Sebring West Branch Goshen Ruritans, which lost Saturday morning to Elyria Dawgz, 15-7, in a G League game; and Alliance Big Red's Fishing, which lost Saturday to Grafton Midview Milano Monuments, 17-10, in an HH League game.
