Here, the cheerleaders work on skill sets like jumps, tumbling, motion technique/sharpness, team bonding, and learn the material to use on the sidelines such as band dances, cheers, chants, and timeout dances. MILWAUKEE — When the last full-scale Republican National Convention was held eight years ago, Ohio was still a toss-up state. The state's delegation, used to being the center of the political universe, had VIP seating on its home turf inside Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, on the floor just to the right of the stage as Donald Trump was formally nominated for the first time. The host delegation was based in a downtown hotel not far from the convention center. Four years earlier, Ohio was seated dead center in front of the arena stage in Tampa, behind only Michigan, when Mitt Romney became the nominee.
Rare turtles focus of Michigan and Ohio wildlife officials under new federal grant
LANSING, MI – Michigan will take the lead to study the declining populations of Blanding’s and spotted turtles – rare species being considered for federal protections. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will partner with their cohorts in Ohio to gather information on the status, distribution, and ecology of the two species of native turtles. Both species have experienced range-wide declines and are under review for federal listing under the Endangered Species Act.

Friday the NOPGA juniors and futures took on Fox Den. In the Boys 16-19 division, Nathan Menapace earned his second win after a stellar four under par, 67. In the Girls 16-19 division, Natalie Kostalnick came in with an amazing three under par, 68 to secure her win. In the Boys 14-15 division, Angelo Rinaldi earned his win after an even par, 71. In the Girls 11-15 division, Sarah Vojtko shot her tournament best with a four under par, 67 on her home course! In the Boys 11-13 division, Hamilton Miller earned his first win with a five over par, 76.
