    Williams common pleas

    Shane Leininger, 34, 1222 Schultz St., Defiance, pleaded not guilty to strangulation, a third-degree felony; and two counts of domestic violence, each a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 9 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Eric Martin, 26, Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to strangulation, a second-degree felony; disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 2 and his bond was continued.

    Montize Carter, 27, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to illegal conveyance of a drug of abuse on the grounds of a detention facility, a third-degree felony; and possession of drugs, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Thursday and his bond was continued.
