    Defiance common pleas

    Christopher Beverley, 33, Lakeland, Ga., appeared for sentencing on a charge of attempted having weapons while under disability, a fourth-degree felony, and was placed on community control for two years.

    Ashley Ramirez, 37, 627 Riverside Ave., appeared for sentencing on a charge of permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony, and was placed on community control for two years.

    Garrett Shreve, 23, Holgate, pleaded guilty to attempted improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a first-degree misdemeanor, and to the specification for forfeiture of a weapon as charged. He was placed on probation for two years and given a suspended six-month sentence at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio while a firearm seized in the investigation was ordered forfeited to the state.

    Derek Alvarez, 38, Stryker (CCNO), pleaded guilty to seven counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person, each a second-degree felony; and three counts of voyeurism, each a fifth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 13.

    Allena Moreno, 25, Montpelier, pleaded guilty to possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and her bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 12.

    Anthony Noto, 47, Hicksville, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 12.

    Robert Seibert, 42, Stryker (CCNO), pleaded guilty to attempted OVI, a fourth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was revoked. Sentencing was set for June 13.

    Todd Warncke, 59, 724 Thurston St., pleaded guilty to OVI, a fourth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 10.

    Christina Burk, 34, 258 Harding St., pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 9 and bond was set at $10,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

    Billie Downs, 49, Edgerton, pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 14 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Robert Gessner, 32, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 20 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Steven Kroeckel, 46, 459 Ralston Ave., pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 8 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    David Lavoie, 59, Hicksville, pleaded not guilty to theft and unauthorized use of property, each a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 6 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Kenneth Reed, 63, 1138 Riverside Ave., pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 9 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Jose Rodriguez-Ventura, 25, Stryker (CCNO), pleaded not guilty to illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor permit premises, a third-degree felony; and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for May 2 and bond was set at $150,000 with a 10% allowance provision. The defendant also has an ICE detainer.

    Tanya Smith, 47, Bloomville, pleaded not guilty to two counts of nonsupport of dependents, each a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 13 and she was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Mark Yonge Sr., 65, 909 Holgate Ave., pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 6 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.
