DeForest Village Board seat could be left vacant in 2024
No challengers have turned in candidacy paperwork regarding the upcoming elections for the DeForest Village Board in the spring. Incumbent trustee candidates William Landgraf and Colleen Little will run unopposed to retain their seats on the board. Meanwhile, trustee Brian Taylor has chosen to step back from his role on the board after his one and only full term comes to an end. This sets Taylor's board seat up to be vacant for the latter half of 2024 and into 2026. Village Clerk Calli Lundgren said that this vacant seat will be filled by the candidate with the most write-in votes after the tallying is done. DeForest residents will have a chance to cast their votes for Landgraf, Little or a write-in candidate of their choosing on Tuesday, April 2.
