Boys swimming: DeForest's O'Leary takes third in 500 freestyle at state

Carter O’Leary took third in the 500 freestyle at the WIAA Division State Boys’ Swimming and Diving Meet at Waukesha South over the weekend.

The DeForest athlete swam a time of 4:47.61 in the event, while also taking sixth in the 200 freestyle in 1:45.28.

Teammate Jakson Wagner also competed individually for the Norskies, finishing 14th in a time of 49.88.

Wagner and O’Leary swam with Shawn Colbrooke and Wyatt Parker for DeForest in the 200 medley relay, where the Norskies ended up 11th in a time of 1:42.88.
