Gold Medal Wrestling is celebrating another record-breaking season with over 120 registered wrestlers from 4K through eighth grade, up from 93 last year.

On Feb. 11, it was Gold Medal’s turn in the rotation to host Dunkin’ Duals, a special annual event for youth wrestlers of DeForest, Waunakee, Sauk Prairie and Monona Grove/McFarland, and sponsored by Dunkin’ Donuts. Collectively over 300 youth wrestlers gained valuable experience on the mat, where it isn’t about wins or losses, placement on a bracket, or awards; it is an opportunity to hang out with teammates, wrestle some matches, and learn that we “donut ever give up”!

DeForest High School wrestlers were on hand to work tables, ref matches, and serve as mascots, just one day after wrestling in their own regional tournament, giving back to the club where so many of them spent their youth careers.
