Girls basketball: Kelliher, Oberg named to All-Badger Large First Team

DeForest seniors Jada Kelliher and Rylan Oberg joined Waunakee’s Claire Meudt on the 2023-24 Badger Large Girls’ Basketball All-Conference First Team, which was recently announced.

Meudt, also a senior, was one of two unanimous selections.

Jordyn Derlein received honorable mention for the Norskies, while Waunakee’s Tessa Bryan, Audrey Meudt and Lexi Fuhremann also earned honorable mention.

Rounding out the first team were Beaver Dam’s Nataya Donaldson and Gabby Wilke, Milton’s Holly Morehart, Monona Grove’s Abbey Inda, Oregon’s Delaney Nyenhuis and Sam Schmitt, and Watertown’s Drew Hinrichs.

Nyenhuis was named Player of the Year, while Oregon’s Adam Wamsley was selected as Coach of the Year.
