    Little, Landgraf and Allen elected to DeForest Village Board

    Colleen Little, Bill Landgraf and Dr. Taysheedra Allen have been elected as DeForest Village Trustees after the Tuesday, April 2, spring election.

    Allen received the most votes out of three write-in candidates, leaving Mike DeRubis and Sheila Howe unelected.

    The vote shook out as follows with all precincts reporting:

    Little led all candidates with 1,251 votes (44%)Landgraf came in second with 1,057 votes (37%)Allen came in third with 274 votes (10%)Howe came in fourth with 204 votes (7%)DeRubis came in fifth with 8 votes (0%)

    Little and Landgraf were both incumbent candidates in the race, while Allen launched a successful write-in campaign.

    Landgraf cited maintaining the village’s character as continued growth occurs in the village and promoting transparent and easy to access information as key focuses for his role on the board.

    Little mentioned that overseeing the expansion of the fire department, promoting subdivision growth and providing top of the line services with as little tax impact as possible as main focuses for her campaign.

    Allen’s campaign focused on balancing rapid growth and development with maintaining DeForest’s hometown feel by drawing from a range of voices in the community.
