    2 adults, 5 children hospitalized; one ejected from DeKalb county rollover crash

    DEKALB, Ill. (WTVO) — Two adults and five children were hospitalized after an SUV crashed and rolled over several times in DeKalb, causing one passenger to be ejected from the vehicle on Saturday night.

    According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, the SUV, driven by Nada Goda, 47, of DeKalb, was traveling southbound on Glidden Road, south of Wolf Road, around 11:03 p.m. when it left the roadway and into a ditch, corrected, traveled across the road into the left side ditch, and then rolled several times.

    Police said one juvenile passenger, age not revealed, was ejected and airlifted to Mercyhealth – Javon Bea Riverside for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

    Goda, along with a 51-year-old DeKalb man and four other juvenile passengers, were taken to Kishwaukee Hospital. The extent of their injuries was not reported.

    Ambulances from Genoa Kingston, Boone County Fire, Sycamore Fire, and DeKalb Fire responded to the scene and transported the victims to the hospital.

    The accident remains under investigation.
