Armed man robs DeKalb credit union

DEKALB, Ill. (WTVO) — The Illinois Community Credit Union was robbed early Wednesday morning, according to DeKalb Police.

At approximately 8:20 a.m., police responded to the Illinois Community Credit Union in the 1500 block of Barber Greene Road for reports of an armed robbery. The offender is accused of stealing money from the clerks and was last seen running westbound from the bank.

The offender is described as being a black male who is around 5 feet 10 inches and is wearing camouflage, an orange vest and a large black backpack.

The investigation is still ongoing. If citizens have any more information about the incident call the DeKalb Police Department at 815-748-8403.
