Del Norte High School Graduate Earns BS Degree

Daniel J. Standring, a 2016 DNHS graduate earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University, College of Life sciences, from Provo. Utah with a Degree in Microbiology.

Standring was awarded a Scholar Athlete award for establishing a Men’s Gymnastic’s Club and traveled across Europe associated with his BYU Men’s Choir and the BYU Cheer / Stunt Team service.

Young Standring has a long history of service to Del Norte County. Standring was responsible for cleaning up the four Welcome to Del Norte portal signs whl lĺich were long-overdue for cosmetic repair signage off aaaAq199, 101 South and North and the Airport. Standring donated his service as part of his Eagle Scout project.

Standring will now apply for and enter Dental School.

Daniel is the son of James Standring, DDS and Lori Standring. Daniel is newly-wed. Wife Abigale also earned her Bachelor’s Degree from BYU, majoring in Exercise science and plans a career as a dental hygienist.
