High Speed Chase on ATV in Delaware County
Authorities say an all-terrain vehicle led law enforcement on a high-speed chase while traveling in excess of 75 mph in Delaware County. 25 year old Trent Ingles of Greeley was arrested around 9 p.m. on June 14th on Iowa Highway 3 3 in Edgewood on a charge of eluding. According to a report, a Delaware County Sheriff’s Department deputy attempted to stop Ingles’ ATV on June 14 after the ATV was observed traveling 66 mph in a 55-mph zone on 150th Street. The ATV then increased speed. The deputy was traveling 75 mph but could not catch up to the ATV. The ATV then traveled into Edgewood, traveling more than 55 mph in a 30-mph zone. The ATV eventually stopped in a mobile home park, and Ingles was apprehended.

Puffett Announces Run For U.S. House
A Delaware County woman wants to enter the race for congress this November. 59-year old Jody Puffett of Delhi, a retired financial executive, has announced she is entering the race for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District, which includes much of northeast Iowa including Dubuque, Delaware and Clayton counties. The seat is currently held by Republican Ashley Hinson who is also being challenged by Democrat Sarah Corkery.
