INDIANAPOLIS—In a recent release, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education announced that 300 student scholarships have been awarded through the 2024-2025 Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship. Each year, this scholarship is given to high-achieving high school and college students pursuing a career in education. The scholarship can be renewed for up to $10,000 annually for four academic years under the agreement that these students will teach for five years at an eligible Indiana school.

Muncie father arrested on suspicion of child abuse
MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie father was arrested last week after being accused of battering his two young sons. Blake Allen Clendenen, 24, was being held in the Delaware County Jail under a $20,000 bond, preliminarily charged with two counts each of neglect of a dependent and battery resulting in bodily injury to a person less than 14 years old.
