MUNCIE, IN— The Delaware County Athletic Hall of Fame has elected 13 new members who will be honored in July in its 2024 class. Ty’Ronda Benning, Ben Botts, Zachary Ervin, Rob Fisher, Hayley (Hall) Garard, Jeremy Hazelbaker, Kasin (Spay) Hoke, Kimberly Kuzma, Taylor Morey, Christopher Overholt, George Taylor, Logan Young and Megan (Allen) Zelasko will be inducted July 20 at the Ball State Alumni Center. Tom Childs will be honored at the banquet as this year’s James Lightbody Award of Excellence recipient.
Jury finds Anderson man guilty of murder in Delaware County cemetery shooting

Yorktown man accused of burglarizing local home, neglecting dogs
YORKTOWN, Ind. — A Yorktown man has been accused of burglarizing a west-side home where he formerly lived — and with failing to properly care for six dogs at his more recent residence. MUNCIE, Ind. — The names of additional scholarship recipients have been released by the Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County. Olivia Gick, a senior at Cowan Junior-Senior High School, was awarded the Max V. and Nellie Cathrine Creviston Scholarship. Olivia plans to study nursing with a minor in Art at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Jeremy Gick and Kristin Gick.
