Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Snuff Mill Restaurant, Butchery & Wine Bar, and it was an experience worth sharing. The cozy, intimate setting with just a few tables and bar seats creates a unique atmosphere that feels both exclusive and welcoming. The staff outnumbers the guests, ensuring attentive and personalized service throughout the meal. The menu offers some intriguing dishes, like the lobster bun with a fried bun that was delicious, albeit a tad oily, and the fresh but not overly plump oysters. The main courses, including scallops and a New York Strip, were cooked well, though not particularly standout. However, the desserts, particularly a special Black Forest cake and a seasonal chocolate creme brulee, were a bit too sweet for my taste. The ambiance is perfect for a date night, though it's not the typical spot for children. The highlight of my visit was the lavender martini, which was incredibly flavorful and a delightful surprise, overshadowing even a beautiful white burgundy. Whether it's the razor clams with their not-to-be-wasted sauce or the perfectly prepared steaks, the culinary craftsmanship is evident. Despite a small hiccup with a dessert, the overall experience was delightful, and I would recommend giving Snuff Mill a try for anyone looking for a cozy dining experience with a touch of culinary creativity.
