2 Men Arrested With Outstanding Verona Warrants For Eluding Police
VERONA, NJ - Two men were arrested with outstanding warrants from the Verona Police Department for resisting arrest and eluding a police officer, according to police. 22-year-old Khurram Simpson of West Orange is accused of eluding Verona Police on three separate occasions dating back to late February. Verona Police say he constantly displayed fake license plates on his silver Camaro.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER On June 1, two Verona detectives observed the Camaro at a stopped traffic light. After an attempt to box Simpson in and order him out of the vehicle, police say, he fled from the scene. Livingston Police arrested Simpson on July 2. That same day, in an unrelated arrest, 21-year-old Khalil Holland of East Orange was taken into custody in Montclair. He’s accused of fleeing from Verona Police on June 20.
