Nutley Mayor Kelly and Board of Commissioners Issue Statement Regarding Differing Political Viewponts
NUTLEY, NJ - Township of Nutley Mayor John V. Kelly III and the Nutley Board of Commissioners issued a public statement on Monday July 15 following the attack on President Trump this past weekend. The statement reads: Statement from Mayor Kelly and the Board of Commissioners Political disagreements should never devolve into violence. The Board of Commissioners unequivocally condemn the attempt on former President Trump's life and any other political violence. All political parties in this nation all have the same goal: to make this already great nation even greater. They simply disagree on how to accomplish that goal. A person who holds a differing viewpoint than yours is not your enemy. The real enemies of America are those who wish us physical harm and seek to cause America's downfall. A differing political viewpoint is not a personal attack, but an opportunity for an open and honest dialog and conversation. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this senseless tragedy, and we offer our condolences to their families. We also wish former President Donald Trump a speedy recovery, and thank the Secret Service for preventing this tragic event from turning even more tragic. For more local news, visit TAPinto.net
