Cities can be charming, but sometimes a single street makes an area unique and creates a sense of community, especially if it is well-maintained.

According to a new study, three streets in Delaware are ranked as some of the most pristine in the United States, and you have probably been to them.

Waste Removal USA commissioned a survey of 3,000 people to uncover where the most pristine streets can be found across the country, resulting in the top 100 towns and cities in the U.S. with the cleanest streets.

In Delaware, Dover’s Loockerman Street emerged as the fifth most pristine street in the U.S.

The street in the state’s capital received nods for its “vibrant artery of history and community,” unique mix of restaurants, local boutiques and cultural landmarks and contemporary spirit. Loockerman Street also is described as having Dover’s rich heritage woven throughout, capturing the city’s charm.

Main Street in Newark ranked No. 64. It was recognized for its historic buildings, popular spots for students and local shops serving as community pillars. The cleanliness of the street is attributed to community events and nearby nature spots like White Clay Creek State Park and the Newark Reservoir.

The last Delaware location to make the top 100 list is Second Street in Lewes at No. 84. Aside from being clean, historic aspects of the town are well-maintained, and features like 18th- and 19th-century shops and restaurants can be found in the area. The city’s location to the beach also means Second Street is brimming with coastal appeal and a vibe reminiscent of a classic bed-and-breakfast experience.
