The three-month sprint to the state championships begins Thursday in Delaware. Forty-six high school football teams will vie for three class championships, each starting with a 10-game regular season before a single-elimination playoff tournament.

How to buy Delaware high school football tickets
The majority of Delaware high schools require tickets be purchased in advance online. Ticketing information schools have published online has been aggregated in the table below. In addition, tickets to games at Abessinio Stadium, including the Pigskin Classic beginning Thursday, are available through HomeTown Ticketing .
First State Military does not charge admission, but charges $5 for parking (cash only). Some schools also sell season passes.
Security at Delaware high school football games
Some schools in recent years have increased their security measures, including limitations on backpacks and large bags. In Appoquinimink School District (Appoquinimink, Middletown and Odessa), spectators are required to pass through a weapon detection system before entering. Spectators do not need to remove personal belongings such as keys, cell phones, jewelry, belts and wallets.
