McDonald's announces debut date for Chicken Big Mac. What you need to know

It's finally coming!

After l eaks that the sandwich was coming in August sprouted on Instagram , McDonald's has finally announced when the Chicken Big Mac will be introduced to restaurants across the country.

What is a Chicken Big Mac?

It's the same as a regular Big Mac, but instead of beef patties, the sandwich has two tempura chicken patties. The Chicken Big Mac also lacks onions.

The sandwich was previously tested in international markets including the U.K. It was also tested in Miami in 2022

The sandwich made a surprise appearance in Los Angeles last weekend at the Chain pop-up dining experience as one of the menu items from a chain known as "McDonnell's," McDonald's said in a press release.
