What channel is Eagles vs Browns game on today? Time, TV schedule in NFL Week 6

PHILADELPHIA − You will never hear Saquon Barkley complain about his workload, even though he is on pace to set a career high for touches in a season.

He's a running back, after all.

Sure, the Eagles might have gone to Barkley a bit more than expected through the first four games, especially with star receiver A.J. Brown missing the three previous games, along with the Eagles' other star receiver in DeVonta Smith and right tackle Lane Johnson missing the last game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 29.

All three will be back Sunday when the Eagles face the Cleveland Browns at Lincoln Financial Field. In addition, the Eagles had last week off, and Barkley said that has been refreshing for him.

"The bye always comes at a good time, even when you don’t think you need it," Barkley said. "But I don’t think it was because of how many touches I’ve had, or so much for (the wear) on my body. But mentally, that was the most important thing. Get away from the game a little bit.

"It helps you lock back in and appreciate the game even more."

For the Eagles, after an up-and-down 2-2 start, the rest and the return to health can make a difference. The Eagles have had their starting offense together for just the season opener on Sept. 6, when they beat the Packers 34-29. Brown suffered his hamstring injury the next week in practice. Then Smith and Johnson suffered concussions against the Saints on Sept. 22.

In the three games without Brown, the Eagles are 1-2 and have averaged just 17.3 points per game. Barkley, meanwhile, has been a key factor in why the Eagles aren't 0-4. In the opener, he scored 3 touchdowns. Against the Saints, he scored both touchdowns in the 15-12 win, including one on a 65-yard run on the play after Smith was injured early in the fourth quarter.

In all, Barkley is third in the NFL with 435 yards rushing, but Barkley has played one fewer game than the two running backs ahead of him. Barkley is on pace for 361 touches, which would best his previous high of 352 in both his rookie season in 2018 and in 2022 while with the Giants.

But Barkley isn't worried about that as much as getting the Eagles' offense back on track.

"We’re still a really good team," Barkley said. "But it doesn’t hurt when you get guys like A.J. Brown and Smitty back ... You’d expect everything to be perfect because we go out there and work hard. But in reality, you know that’s not going to happen.

"In this building, no one’s panicking, no one’s saying, ‘Oh, we gotta do this. We gotta do that.’ At the end of the day, you want to go out and win football games. We gave ourselves the opportunity to do that in three out of the four games. When you look at it, we’re 2-2, and we have everything that we want in front of us."
