Delaware consumers need to be on the lookout for ready-to-eat meat and poultry products at stores such as 7-Eleven, Wegman's, Acme, Safeway and Walmart.

Nearly 12 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products were recalled due to potential listeria contamination, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced last week.

Poultry producer BrucePac also recalled 11,765,285 pounds of chicken products. BrucePac products were distributed to several well-known supermarkets and sold across multiple states. The products in the recall have establishment numbers '51205 or P-51205' inside or under the USDA mark of inspection.

Earlier, in July a popular Boar’s Head deli meats were also recalled by the USDA. The meats such as beef salami, bologna, Italian cappy style ham, steakhouse roasted bacon, sweet sliced uncured ham, tavern ham, and Virginia ham all were recalled.

    • Chills

I'm just thinking about the situation. Most of the people who did the jobs died from COVID19. The newly hired people apparently have no one there to train them. So the company is hiring people who don't care, can't read or comprehend. Learn to wash and prepare your food. You have to wash chicken before you cook it. Google has really good recipes and is easy to cook. Wash your food and hands.
