‘Pipe Down!’ Megyn Kelly Tears Into Biden, Tells Him to ‘Shut Up’ About Hunter’s Trial

Megyn Kelly accused President Joe Biden to “pipe down” about his son Hunter Biden’s trial and accused him of trying to influence Delawareans “who love the family.”

Kelly was joined by UnHeard Washington D.C. correspondent Emily Jashinsky and Washington Free Beacon editor Eliana Johnson to discuss Hunter Biden’s current legal troubles and Kelly turned that conversation at one point to the president’s relationship to the trial , which is in Delaware. Opening arguments begin on Tuesday.

The president released a statement in support of his son this week, reading:

I am the President, but I am also a Dad. Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today. Hunter’s resilience in the face of adversity and the strength he has brought to his recovery are inspiring to us. A lot of families have loved ones who have overcome addiction and know what we mean. As the President, I don’t and won’t comment on pending federal cases, but as a Dad, I have boundless love for my son, confidence in him, and respect for his strength. Our family has been through a lot together, and Jill and I are going to continue to be there for Hunter and our family with our love and support.

Hunter Biden is facing a federal gun charge. He’s accused of purchasing and possessing a firearm while addicted to drugs. Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty on three charges.

Kelly argued on her SiriusXM show on Monday that the president commenting on any criminal trial is “inappropriate,” also citing his statements on Donald Trump’s hush money trial in Manhattan.

“It’s still inappropriate,” she said. “It’s not appropriate for a sitting president of the United States to be commenting on any sort of a criminal case. I said this last week when he commented on Trump. Stay out of it! Stop it!”

Kelly argued the president is making a “clear attempt” to “influence” people in his son’s trial, especially since it is in Delaware where the president is from.

“The Trump case still has to go up on appeal, your son’s case is in the process of jury selection. So be quiet! Shut up!” she said. “Pipe down, you don’t have to comment on everything. It’s a clear attempt to influence those Delawareans who love the family.”
