Lower Sussex improves to 2-1 with World Series win

ROXANA —Lower Sussex bounced back from its first loss with a 6-2 victcory over Latin America in the Senior League softball World Series on Wednesday night.

The victory leaves the District III champions wiwth a record of 2-1 in pool play in the tournament being played at Lower Sussex Little League.

Lower Sussex won’t play again until the quarterfinal round on Friday. Pool A was left with only four teams after the Philippines was unable to make it to Delaware because of the hurricane that hit its country.

U.S. East champion MOT (0-2) is slated to face U.S. Southwest at 5:30 p.m. today.
