Coach Sam Carrodo and his Liberty softball team celebrated the program’s first District 11 Class 6A championship since 2017 this season. A few years ago, the Hurricanes struggled to a 3-17 record and Carrodo wasn’t sure if he’d continue coaching when his wife Chrissy passed away in 2022 after a battle with brain cancer.

Harrisburg, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Dept. of Community and Economic Development (DCED) has announced a new $200,000 investment into the Community Integrated Services Manufacturing Accelerator Program, which trains Pennsylvanians with disabilities to work with local manufacturers.
