Early morning car crash in Delhi Township leaves two injured

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-car crash in Delhi Township around 1 a.m. Officials say the crash happened on Dell Road between Aurelius Road and Brigantine Dr.

The Sheriff’s Office says a 51-year-old man was driving east in a pickup truck and sideswiped an SUV that was parked on the side of the road.

The driver then rear-ended a parked pickup truck and officials say the force of the crash caused both pickup trucks to overturn.

The 45-year-old woman passenger was seriously injured as a result. Both parked cars were unoccupied at the time of the crash.

Officials say both the male driver and the female passenger were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officials also say alcohol and speed were both factors in the crash.
