    Here are the Delmarva Now Player of the Week nominees for May 13-19

    Every week this sports season, fans across Delmarva will have the chance to vote for the Delmarva Now Player of the Week.

    Nominees are selected based on their performance over the previous seven days: May 13-19.

    Anyone can submit a candidate for consideration by emailing abranch@delmarvanow.com. You must email the athlete's name, school, sport and stats from that week.

    Votes will only be counted from the poll below. Do not email your vote.

    Voting will open on Monday and close Wednesday at 3 p.m. A breakdown of each athlete's week is available underneath. The winner will be announced on the Delmarva Now Facebook page.

    Here are the nominees for this week:

    Lukas Loring (Stephen Decatur Baseball)

    • Pitched a complete game shutout in their state quarterfinal win over Northern, striking out 11 and only giving up 1 hit.

    Chase Shepherd (Parkside Baseball)

    • Pitched a complete game, striking out eight and only giving up one run in their regional final win over Queen Anne's last week.

    Hayden Adkins (Mardela Softball)

    • Pitched a complete game shutout, striking out seven batters in their state quarterfinal win over Bohemia Manor.

    Evan Oglesby (Stephen Decatur Boys Lacrosse)

    • Scored the game-winning goal in overtime of their regional final victory over Parkside last week.

    Caroline Knight (Salisbury University Women's Lacrosse)

    • Scored five goals in their NCAA Regional Final victory over Washington & Lee last week.
