    Severe thunderstorm watch on Lower Shore until 10 p.m. tonight. Everything to know.

    The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Lower Shore until 10 p.m. Sunday night.

    The watch includes all of Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties, including Ocean City and Salisbury.

    NWS tracing 'cluster of strong thunderstorms' all along Eastern Shore

    In a special weather statement issued Sunday night, the NWS said:

    At 7;39 p.m., Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Preston to near Princess Anne to near Onley. Movement was east at 10 mph.

    Wind gusts to around 40 mph are expected, with up to a half inch hail, heavy rain and frequent lightning.

    Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation ispossible. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible, with frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.
