ESPN disrespects Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby: fans are furious
ESPN has just published their ranking of the top 100 athletes in professional sports, and fans of the Oilers and Penguins were furious, and outright disgusted. People at ESPN don't seem to be huge hockey fans, as out of the 100 athletes on the list, only three NHL players were included. The three hockey players on the list were Sidney Crosby in 22nd place, Alex Ovechkin at 54, and, wait for it, Connor McDavid all the way down the list in third last, at 98.

Nanaimo’s Playoff Hopes Dwindle In Loss To Langley
Nanaimo’s playoff hopes are on the line as the Timbermen dropped an 11-7 decision to the Langley Thunder on Wednesday night. The Timbermen sit in a tie with Burnaby for last place in the WLA with a record of 4-8-1. Their remaining games in the season are two against Burnaby (4-7-1), two against Maple Ridge (6-8) and one against the first-place Victoria Shamrocks (13-0).

Shapiro Administration Invests $200,000 to Train Workers with Disabilities for Manufacturing Jobs
From Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. On Wednesday, July 17, Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Secretary Rick Siger announced a new $200,000 investment by the Shapiro Administration in the Community Integrated Services (CIS) Manufacturing Accelerator Program that will provide Pennsylvanians with disabilities the skills they need to secure jobs with local manufacturers. The Manufacturing PA Training-to-Career (MTTC) grant will fund program locations at Drexel University and the Community College of Philadelphia. Upon completion, participants will receive assistance in applying to jobs with local manufacturers, and once hired, will receive support as needed.
August DUI checkpoint announced for Pennsylvania

Police safely locate 9-year-old Lena Pham who had been reported missing from Braddock
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — UPDATE: State police have said that Pham has been found and is safe. Original story follows below:Police in the Pittsburgh area are looking for a missing 9-year-old girl from Braddock Borough. Pennsylvania State Police said in a post on social media that 9-year-old Lena Pham was last seen in the 200 block of Third St. in Braddock around 10 p.m. on Thursday. State police said she may be "at special risk of harm or injury." Officials said the young girl may be in a black sedan with her mother, Trang Dang. State police did not provide a make or model of the vehicle. Pham is described by law enforcement as being 4-foot-8 with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with black lettering, black shorts and sandals. Anyone with information can call 911 or 412-299-1607.
