Governor Cheer and Dance Open Season in Aberdeen Saturday
The Pierre Governor cheer and dance team is going to get the season started this Saturday with a trip Aberdeen Central with a total of 13 teams participating. Joining the Governors and host Aberdeen Central will be Brookings, Harrisburg, Huron, Mitchell, Rapid City Central, Stevens, Jefferson, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Washington and Watertown. On the competitive dance team, Isabella Caauwe, Callie Gordon, Sara Maher, Carley Malm, Victoria Parsons, Olivia Stetson, Caiyah Swartz, Kailey Wallman and Addison Warriner will be the nine seniors for this year’s team. For the cheer team, Anastyn Baade, Kylee Daniel, Ella Dowling and Kaylee Tostenson will be the four seniors for the Govs. The Governors start the season in Aberdeen and will travel to the Corn Palace next week Thursday and then host the Pierre invite next week Saturday.

VERMILLION, S.D. — The cross country teams opened their season on home grounds with the Coyote Classic, featuring the SDSU Jackrabbits and the Mount Marty Lancers.
